A cargo thief or thieves struck anew Monday in Botetourt County and once again a load of Elizabeth Arden beauty products was the target booty.
Maj. Delbert Dudding of the Botetourt County Sheriff's Office said authorities received a call about 5 p.m. Monday from a trucker whose tractor and trailer had been stolen while he was inside the TA Roanoke Travel Center truck stop at Exit 150 off Interstate 81.
The tractor was discovered about 45 minutes later, abandoned in Rockbridge County, Dudding said. The trailer and its cargo were missing.
