A radar installation was damaged by an explosion caused by left-wing rebels of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (Farc). The attack occurred last Saturday, January 21, in the city of Cali, in Cauca department. One soldier was killed and three other were injured during the attack.  Since the radar controls air traffic in large areas across southern and western Colombia, local air traffic disruptions are expected, especially at the Cali Airport. Authorities still doesn’t know if there will be any canceled flights, however repairs to the radar station will take several months and delays are expected in the following days. The Colombia Civil Aviation said that delays will also affect flights between Colombia, Panama and Ecuador.
