Flooding and landslides in southern Bangladesh caused at least 90 deaths and serious damage to infrastructure late Tuesday, June 26. Cities in and around Bandarban, Chittagong and Cox’s Bazar suffered the most damage. Flights to and from the Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong were suspended for hours on Tuesday as the taxiway was submerged in the flooding. Trains in the region were also suspended after the collapse of a railway bridge.
