The UGT (General Union of Workers) and CCOO (The Workers' Commissions) unions are going to hold a general strike on Thursday, March 29 in protest of a new labor reform law passed by the government last month.Important disruptions and delays to ground and air transportation services are expected. Only 30% of trains, busses and metro, as well as 20% of high speed trains will operate as a result of the work stoppage. Over 400 flights scheduled on March 29th have already been cancelled. Street demonstrations in towns all over the country as part of the strike are anticipated; however, the largest demonstration is expected to take place in Madrid.
