 A magnitude 7.2 earthquake struck central Chile yesterday March 25, at 7:30 p.m. According to the US Geological Survey the quake struck 20 miles north-northwest of the city of Talca (located 158 miles south of the city of Santiago). Although no serious damage was reported, companies with operations in the affected regions can expect heavy traffic as well as telephone service problems and electrical power outages.
