Mumbai's International Airport Shuts Down Main Runway
Latest Security News
Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (BOM) in Mumbai is constructing a rapid exit taxiway (RET), which will shut down its main runway from January 20-June 1, 2012 between 9:00am-5:00pm. BOM is India’s second busiest airport and handled almost 720,000 tons of cargo in 2010. The secondary runway will be used while the main runway is shut down. The number of flights the secondary runway can process is significantly less than the main runway. Delays should be expected for flights going in and out of BOM during those hours.
