Baja California state police are trying to locate a missing truck driver and a load of pharmaceuticals stolen along the Mexicali – San Felipe highway on May 28. The trailer was found (via GPS) empty and abandoned in a small town two hours after the incident. Police believe that the thieves are part of an organized cargo theft gang specialized in pharmaceuticals responsible other recent cargo thefts and pharmacy burglaries in the city of Mexicali.
