On March 26 in New Delhi, India, Tibetan exiles protested the presence of Chinese President Hu Jintao in India for the upcoming BRICS summit March 28-29. More protests are expected and the authorities are making arrangements to prevent potential disruptions and a possible terrorist attack. The BRICS summit will close some major roadways including Sardar Patel Marg, which connects New Delhi and Central Delhi with West Delhi, Southwest Delhi and Gurgaon. Sardar Patel Marg will be closed from early Wednesday morning to Thursday evening. Hundreds of thousands of people travel on this roadway daily, so surrounding roadways will likely be extremely congested.
