A truck carrying an important load of mobile phones worth approximately $3M was hijacked by an armed gang of fake police officers on January 26, 2012.The truck and a security escort were in transit on the Russia federal motorway, km 77 North-West from Moscow when they were suddenly forced to stop by what it seemed to be a regular police inspection.However, immediately after they stopped, the driver and the escort personnel were threaten at gunpoint and obliged to lie down on the ground meanwhile the offenders took control of the truck plus the escorting car and fled from the scene.The incident was notified to Police straight away, allowing them a prompt apprehension of the robbers in Klin near Moscow.The valuable cargo was recovered and handed back to its owner.
